Hello! Thank you for stopping by my online art gallery.
After years of a bit of a hiatus, I'm picking up my pencils and brushes to bring original artwork to SWFL and beyond!
Born and raised in Cedar Rapids, IA, I moved to Bonita Springs, FL in 2014. Since then, I've completed my bachelor's in accounting at Florida Gulf Coast University and worked in my field of study for a few years now. During my college years, I was offered a paid commission by a local Hyatt resort to do a 52-foot mural in their employee hallway and graciously accepted. After completing the mural, I was inspired to continue my artwork and allow myself the time to hone my skills further. Now I finally have the courage to show the world!
The hardest question I get as an artist is "what type of art do you do?". I work in many mediums, focusing mainly on acrylics and pencil sketches. Sometimes you may even spot some upcycled pieces. I paint or draw whatever inspires me at the time.
I have been drawing and sketching since my earliest memories, and I always remember my parents encouraging me to continue with my artwork, especially cartooning. My father got me into the Art Instruction Schools at 13 years old, one of the youngest students to be accepted at the time. After doing some courses with them I expanded my artistic stride in high school, taking as many different art classes as possible. It was then that I found my love of painting and now my passion is to bring joy to the world through art.
